My Silver Lining

People around me often can attest to how I whine about how exhausting my job is. I may not want to admit it but my job does have its perks. What I enjoy most is when I'm asked to pitch in for our media business - Phil So Good Magazine. Before this job, I had no background nor experience in journalism and print media. So, it feels great to be able to suggest personalities to interview, meet them and to actually be the one to do the interview.

Our interviewees are chosen based on their contribution to the Cebuano society, be it in the field of politics, sports, hospitality, design, medicine, education or fashion. Here are some personalities we've featured in our past issues:
World renowned furniture designer, Mr. Kenneth Cobonpue
Me, starstruck.
Head Opthalmologist for Larrazabal Eye, Opthalmologist for Centre for Sight and marathoner, Dr. Potenciano "Yong" Larrazabal III.
Environmental designer, founder of the Cebu Heritage Conservation Council and architect for Plantation Bay Mactan, Ms. Joy Onozawa.
The woman who needs no introduction...
Cebu Province Governor Gwen Garcia
Hotelier and restaurateur (Abaca and Maya), Mr. Jason Hyatt
Cebuano icon for fashion design, Mr. Jun Escario.

Phil So Good is a Korean education and information magazine which features Cebuano sights, sounds, personalities, education and other information uniquely Cebuano. It is distributed in Korea and in Cebu for free. The aim of the magazine is to promote Cebu and the Philippines to Korean nationals by describing how feels to be in the Philippines...that it simply "feels so good."
